All students are required to RSVP by April 25 to participate in the in-person ceremony. Only students who completed their graduation application by April 24 will have access to login to the RSVP system. Your student will receive an email to create an account and access the Online System in late February. Please note: If your student did not receive an email to set-up their account, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can update their email address and resend the email.
The gates to Goodman Stadium open at 8:45 a.m. We strongly encourage you to arrive early to avoid traffic and parking delays.
General parking is available on Goodman Campus in the lots adjacent to Stabler Arena. Parking attendants will direct cars to parking areas that are located approximately 600 yards from the stadium.

Students must report to the Student Check-In tent located on the east side of Goodman Stadium at 8:45 a.m. the morning of their ceremony. All students must arrive wearing appropriate academic regalia and have a printed copy of their GradPass. To check-in, they must show their GradPass and will be directed to the procession line-up location.
Inside the stadium, students will be seated on the field by college. Bottled water will be available as they process into the stadium and find their seat on the field.
The majority of seating inside Goodman Stadium are bleacher seats. Seating that is closest to the walkways around the stadium will be reserved as accessible seats. These seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. Stadium ushers will be available for assistance.
The commencement ceremonies will be live-streamed on the Lehigh Commencement homepage. We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends who are not able to celebrate with you in-person. Your attendance at Commencement will indicate your consent for streaming and the appearance of your image in any footage, including the use of the recording for future purposes. Note: The ceremony recordings are not commercially available.
In addition, Stabler Arena will be open as an indoor site to watch the live-stream of the ceremonies. The arena is located south of Goodman Stadium and offers accessible seating and restrooms. Shuttles will be available to transport guests between the stadium and arena during the ceremony in case your guests change their mind on where they would like to view the ceremony.
The commencement ceremonies are estimated to conclude by 12:15 p.m. For the benefit of all students and their families, please demonstrate courtesy by remaining in your seat for the entire ceremony. For those making restaurant reservations after your ceremony, allow yourself enough travel time and anticipate traffic delays.
Please keep in mind that the commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors in a football stadium. Bring your creature comforts. Hats to shield your head from the sun, sunglasses, sunscreen, and stadium cushions are recommended. In the event of rain, bring your ponchos and rain gear. High heels are not recommended for guests and students.
Only service dogs are allowed to accompany their owner to commencement; no house pets.
Complimentary water stations will be located throughout the stadium for guests seated in the stands. Two concession stands inside the stadium will be open during the ceremonies with a menu of snacks and beverages for purchase.
Island Photography is the official photographer for Lehigh University's Commencement Ceremonies. They will capture two photos of each student prior to walking onto the stage and one on the stage. Color proofs will be emailed and mailed to each student within 2-3 days of their ceremony. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase. If family and friends would like to receive proofs of their graduate, please complete the Please Send Proofs form. With professional photographs available after the ceremony, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats and enjoy the ceremony.

Make the most of your visit to Lehigh University by making reservations at a nearby hotel and/or restaurant. If you are planning to make restaurant reservations for after your ceremony, allow yourself enough travel time and anticipate traffic delays. With multiple commencement ceremonies taking place in the Lehigh Valley the weekend of May 20-21, we strongly recommend making these reservations early.
Honor your student's achievement with beautiful roses. They are available by the dozen, arranged in a bouquet tied with ribbons representing school colors and a gift card with your personal message. All proceeds benefit the Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley, a non-profit United Way agency. For your convenience, the roses will be available for pickup inside Goodman Stadium prior to 10:00 a.m. While supplies last, bouquets will be available for purchase onsite the morning of your ceremony. Diplomas will be mailed to the address that your student provided when completing their graduation application. Estimated delivery time is four to six weeks after commencement. If your student has not received their diploma by July 10, please contact Registration & Academic Services at (610) 758-3200.
For both ceremonies, the order of exercises will be shared on the Commencement website and made available closer to the ceremony dates.
A printed commemorative Class of 2023 Commencement program will be mailed in the summer to students with degrees awarded. This program will be an official representation of those who received a degree from Lehigh University. The program will include honors and names with degrees awarded in Summer 2022, Winter 2023, and Spring 2023.
If a student plans to walk in the Class of 2023 ceremony and their degree will be awarded in Summer 2023, Winter 2024, or Spring 2024, they will be printed in the Class of 2024 program, which will be mailed over the summer of 2024.
Printed programs will be mailed to the address students provided for their diploma. Students who wish to change their diploma mailing address should complete RAS's Diploma Address Update Form at least two weeks prior to the ceremony.
A digital version of the Class of 2023 Commencement printed program will also be available on the commencement website homepage to view and download this summer.
