The 157th Spring Commencement Weekend
Saturday, May 17 to Sunday, May 18, 2025

General Information

The commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors rain or shine in Goodman Stadium on Lehigh’s Goodman Campus. Students from Lehigh’s five colleges will participate.

Tickets are not required for admission to the ceremonies in Goodman Stadium. Please be sure to review Lehigh’s Severe Weather Plan as well as the venue and security information page to plan accordingly.

All students are required to RSVP by April 21 to participate in the in-person ceremony. Only students who completed their graduation application by April 18 will have access to login to the RSVP system. Your student will receive an email to create an account and access the Online System in late February. Please note: If your student did not receive an email to set-up their account, please contact us at inuday@lehigh.edu so we can update their email address and resend the email.

The gates to Goodman Stadium open at 8:30 a.m. We strongly encourage you to arrive early to avoid traffic and parking delays.

General parking is available on Goodman Campus in the lots adjacent to Stabler Arena. Parking attendants will direct cars to parking areas that are located approximately 600 yards from the stadium. Click here for information on accessible parking and shuttles.

Students must report to the Student Check-In tent located on the east side of Goodman Stadium at 8:45 a.m. the morning of their ceremony. All students must arrive wearing appropriate academic regalia and have a printed copy of their Stage Pass. To check-in, they must show their Stage Pass and will be directed to the procession line-up location.

Inside the stadium, students will be seated on the field by college. Bottled water will be available as they process into the stadium and find their seat on the field.

The majority of seating inside Goodman Stadium are bleacher seats. Seating that is closest to the walkways around the stadium will be reserved as accessible seats. These seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. Stadium ushers will be available for assistance.

Click here for more information on accessible seating.

The commencement ceremonies will be live-streamed on the Lehigh Commencement homepage. We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends who are not able to celebrate with you in-person. Your attendance at Commencement will indicate your consent for streaming and the appearance of your image in any footage, including the use of the recording for future purposes. Note: The ceremony recordings are not commercially available.

In addition, Stabler Arena will be open as an indoor site to watch the live-stream of the ceremonies. The arena is located south of Goodman Stadium and offers accessible seating and restrooms. Shuttles will be available to transport guests between the stadium and arena during the ceremony in case your guests change their mind on where they would like to view the ceremony.

The commencement ceremonies are estimated to conclude by 12:30 p.m. For the benefit of all students and their families, please demonstrate courtesy by remaining in your seat for the entire ceremony. For those making restaurant reservations after your ceremony, allow yourself enough travel time and anticipate traffic delays.

Please keep in mind that the commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors in a football stadium. We highly recommend that guests dress for the weather and bring such items as sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, ponchos, raingear, stadium cushions, and wear comfortable shoes. High heels are not recommended for guests and students.

Only service dogs are allowed to accompany their owner to commencement; no house pets.

Complimentary water stations will be located throughout the stadium for guests seated in the stands. Two concession stands inside the stadium will be open during the ceremonies with a menu of snacks and beverages for purchase.

Make the most of your visit to Lehigh University by making reservations at a nearby hotel and/or restaurant. If you are planning to make restaurant reservations for after your ceremony, allow yourself enough travel time and anticipate traffic delays.

Diplomas will be mailed to the address that your student provided when completing their graduation application. Estimated delivery time is four to six weeks after commencement. If your student has not received their diploma by July 7, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (610) 758-3200.

For both ceremonies, the order of exercises will be shared on the Commencement website and made available closer to the ceremony dates.

A printed commemorative Class of 2025 Commencement program will be mailed in the summer to students with degrees awarded. This program will be an official representation of those who received a degree from Lehigh University. The program will include honors and names with degrees awarded in Summer 2024, Winter 2025, and Spring 2025.

If a student plans to walk in the Class of 2025 ceremony and their degree will be awarded in Summer 2025, Winter 2026, or Spring 2026, they will be printed in the Class of 2026 program, which will be mailed over the summer of 2026.

Printed programs will be mailed to the address students provided for their diploma. Students who wish to change their diploma mailing address should complete the Office of the Registrar's Diploma Address Update Form at least two weeks prior to the ceremony.

A digital version of the Class of 2025 Commencement printed program will also be available on the commencement website homepage to view and download this summer.
