A Belgium native, Jashari demonstrated inclusive leadership, earning the Ujima Award and other recognitions. Active in many initiatives, he co-founded the Lehigh chapter of the UN Association and was president of the Economic Society and World Affairs Club.

As an undergraduate researcher, Yaeger discovered a new mushroom species near campus. He also created the BioBlitz Club for students who want to learn about biodiversity. Yaeger plans to continue his study of fungi as a Fulbright scholar in Peru.
