Why Study Religion, Culture, and Society?

Lehigh’s undergraduate major and minor in Religion, Culture, and Society is devoted to the academic investigation of religion as an intrinsic dimension of human experience and culture. At its core, Religion, Culture, and Society is a cross-cultural discipline. Faculty explore multiple dimensions of diverse religious worlds and the people who inhabit them, employing a wide variety of languages, methodologies and critical theories as interpretive tools.
