Lehigh’s undergraduate major and minor in sociology and anthropology teaches students statistics, cultural diversity and human nature, human evolution and pre-history, research methods and data analysis.
Lehigh’s anthropology students say they value not only what they learn through courses, internships, and independent research, but also the personalized attention and active mentoring they receive from faculty.
Lehigh’s anthropology alumni attend graduate school in social sciences, law, medicine, or education or work in business, social services, marketing, and a wide variety of other fields. Graduates with master’s degrees often go on to attend highly distinguished Ph.D. programs; others obtain positions in research, administration, or education.
