Explore the foundations of three-dimensional design and the production process.
Lehigh University's Product Design minor teaches students the creative and technical skills needed to thrive in professional design fields. Through hands-on projects and collaborative design studios, they will develop a deep understanding of the production process.
By completing this minor, students gain valuable hands-on experience and insights into the entire product design process, from conceptualization to manufacturing. The minor also allows students to specialize in Materials to Market or Furniture Design programs. Lehigh’s product design graduates work in fields including clothing and textiles, furniture design, interior or spatial design, and the automotive industry, and as purchasing managers.
Any undergraduate student at Lehigh University can declare this minor. Lehigh’s undergraduate minor in product design offers instruction in three-dimensional design, drawing, and two-dimensional design. Students are required to concentrate in product design and choose between taking Materials to Market or Furniture Design. To complete the minor, students will take 18-20 credits.
Lehigh alumni with a minor in product design work in fields including clothing and textiles, furniture design, interior or spatial design, and the automotive industry, and as purchasing managers.
