U.S. News & World Report Ranks Lehigh Among Top 10 Elite Online MBA Programs

Lehigh's Flex MBA program with its unique team-taught core curriculum was tied at No. 10 in the latest rankings.

U.S. News & World Report has released its annual rankings of online MBA programs. Up eight spots in the rankings from 2020, Lehigh’s FLEX MBA Program tied for No. 10 in the country on U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Online MBA Programs list.

“The unique qualities of our FLEX MBA Program continue to pay huge dividends for our students,” said Georgette Chapman Phillips, Kevin L. and Lisa A. Clayton Dean of Lehigh's College of Business. “The integrated core curriculum, breadth of concentration offerings, and a faculty truly dedicated to excellence are all key factors in the positive response we continue to see.”

For the 2021 rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked online MBA programs using five categories: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, student excellence and student services and technologies. Each program is assessed in these categories using ranking indicators. Scores for each ranking indicator are calculated from data that was reported to U.S. News & World Report by the program, as well as by peer reputation survey collection. The breadth and depth of the Lehigh FLEX MBA online MBA experience is reflected through strong scores in these ranking categories.

“In addition to our top 10 ranking, we are so pleased to see how effective our newest concentration, Business Analytics, is performing,” Associate Dean Oliver Yao said. “In just a short period of time, Lehigh’s FLEX MBA Program ranked No. 14 in this very timely business specialty area.” Additionally, Yao said, “I was also excited to see that our General Management MBA curriculum path ranked among the top 25.”

Lehigh Business attributes its FLEX MBA program’s strong reputation in large part due to faculty committed to driving student excellence.

“The Lehigh FLEX MBA graduate program faculty is dedicated to uniquely creating the most rewarding graduate-level educational experience for our FLEX MBA students,” Yao said.

The Lehigh FLEX MBA Program is designed for working professionals and can be completed on campus or online. The program is truly flexible when compared to traditional on-campus-only MBA programs because students can seamlessly attend classes either on campus or online, at any time throughout the program.

Lehigh FLEX MBA courses are offered synchronously through Lehigh’s online ClassroomLIVE technology platform. The integrated, web-based learning environment delivers programs in real time from classrooms on the Lehigh campus to students in their homes, offices or hotel rooms when traveling. Students interact live with professors and other students during the class as it’s actually taking place on campus.

“This virtual technology platform delivery mode continues to result in a win-win for the busy, working professional,” Yao said.
