The Council for Equity and Community (CEC) has launched a new Diversity, Inclusion & Equity (DI&E) Resources and Toolkit page that highlights DI&E initiatives, activities and resources across Lehigh’s campus. This dynamic collection of resources is searchable by name, category, or audience, and features opportunities for engagement for all members of the Lehigh community.

CEC members began soliciting information from their representative units in 2020, asking various campus stakeholders to identify “what we have” and “what we need” with regard to DI&E efforts, said Marci Levine, program director of the Lehigh ADVANCE Center and CEC member.

This resource is an initial summary of what we have to support learning and practice at personal and group levels,” she explained. “The user can choose to explore a variety of opportunities, books, policies, programs, practices and peer-reviewed resources that support their role in building a more equitable Lehigh.”

Levine said the Toolkit will be updated regularly, and community members will be able to suggest additional resources through a submission mechanism.

“The Diversity, Inclusion & Equity Resources and Toolkit developed by our Council for Equity and Community is an invaluable resource for anyone looking for best practices for personal development or promoting DI&E throughout their organizations,” said Donald Outing, vice president for equity and community. “The Toolkit is the result of the hard work and dedication of the members of our CEC. Thank you to everyone involved in creating this resource for our community members.”

Members of the Lehigh community can suggest revisions or additions to the Toolkit via this form. For other related questions and feedback, email cec@lehigh.edu, and for campus events, visit the Lehigh Events calendar.
