Q: What is one thing you would want a prospective student to know about Lehigh?

A: A prospective student should know that their Lehigh experience is truly what they make it. Join organizations you’re interested in and meet as many people as possible. Try to push yourself out of your comfort zone and take advantage of all the opportunities at Lehigh!

Q: How has Lehigh prepared you to take on tomorrow’s challenges?

A: Lehigh has prepared me to take on tomorrow’s challenges by providing me with a dynamic and interactive education where I’m able to learn how to navigate problems inside and outside the classroom. The emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving and effective communication has allowed me to gain practical experience and apply classroom learnings to real-world problems. My courses at Lehigh allow me to explore my academic interests while also expanding my knowledge and creating a strong foundation for my future.

Q: You studied abroad in Italy, how was that experience, were there any unexpected challenges that you had to overcome?

A: Studying abroad in Florence, Italy was the most amazing experience! The opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, travel around Europe and explore beautiful places was absolutely incredible. One unexpected challenge I faced was adjusting to the pace of life and cultural differences. In Italy, things often move at a more relaxed pace than I’m used to, which required me to adapt and embrace a different way of life. Now, I miss living abroad so much and am looking forward to revisiting Florence hopefully soon!

Q: What is a classroom or extracurricular activity at Lehigh that helped you determine (or solidified) what you want to pursue in the future?

A: Studying abroad really opened my eyes to wanting to experience other cultures and learn new customs and traditions in other countries. Spending time abroad was such a transformative experience that it has fueled my desire to explore more parts of the world in the future. I hope to be able to combine my professional career with my interest in travel and lead a life where I am constantly deepening my global perspective and learning more about new cultures.

Q: You participated in Startup Academy, a partnership between Lehigh@NasdaqCenter and the College of Business, what was your experience and how did it develop your entrepreneurial mindsets and skills?

A: Participating in the Startup Academy through the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter and the College of Business was an awesome experience that allowed me to obtain experience in the entrepreneurial space that I had never been exposed to before. The program allowed me to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and learn a plethora of new skills and knowledge that I was able to then apply in my business courses. Working alongside experienced entrepreneurs was very valuable and gave me insights and guidance about the industry. The program and my internship allowed me to see the importance of product development, market research and communication within an organization. Overall, the Startup Academy was an enriching experience that enabled me to explore entrepreneurship while also making meaningful connections with industry experts. Also, spending the summer living in San Francisco with the other Lehigh students in the program was really fun!!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Lehigh?

A: My favorite thing about Lehigh is the endless opportunities it offers to students. I always have something to do on campus and someone to do it with, which makes me feel so connected with other students. Lehigh has opened so many doors for me and allowed me to meet such wonderful people - not only my friends but my professors, advisors and mentors. I definitely feel such a strong sense of belonging at Lehigh.

Q: Where is your favorite study spot or place to relax on campus?

A: My favorite study spot on campus is the 5th floor of the STEPS building. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlook the campus and there is a stunning view of Packard Lab. I love to do my work there!
