Q: What is one thing you would want a prospective student to know about Lehigh?

A: At Lehigh there are boundless opportunities—you just have to take advantage of them!

Q: How has Lehigh prepared you to take on tomorrow’s challenges?

A: Lehigh’s rigor is not only in the long steep terrain but also embedded in the walls of the classrooms. Lehigh has taught me to not only learn, but learn how to learn, question how to question, and most importantly think about how to think. Lehigh continues to allow me to develop timely skills and timeless skill sets.

Q: You founded Dot Tech. Inc, can you tell us a little bit about what Dot is and how you’ve utilized Lehigh's entrepreneurship opportunities to help further your work?

A: Dot is like an electronic adapter for different immigrant students—enabling them to plug into a new country through a network of 1500+ cash deposit outlets. Students can fund their Dot account, create a virtual visa card for online transactions, send and receive money and even manage their personal finances. My first-year experience at Lehigh allowed me to explore my entrepreneurial interests, from being a Silicon Valley Social Impact Fellow to winning six Eureka! Pitch Nights, and the Thalheimer $5,000 Grand Prize to being recognized on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, NYC. I’ve also been accepted to Lehigh Ventures Lab, an accelerated program at Lehigh powered by the College of Business and the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Q: Where have you found support and mentorship at Lehigh? How has it shaped your experience?

A: I've found support and mentorship through various programs on campus. My first was the LUSSI program where was paired with two guides who tremendously helped me transition into Lehigh. Following that, I received huge support and mentorship for my entrepreneurial passion and interests from the Baker Institute, where I pitched my venture every month at the Eureka! Pitch Night.

Q: What has been your biggest passion project thus far over your college career?

A: Working on Dot has been one of my biggest passions so far. No doubt, it's put me in rooms and conversations that have equipped me with valuable learning experiences that I'll forever cherish.

Q: We often hear that Lehigh is special because our students are collaborative, not competitive, with each other. Have you seen this to be true? How so?

A: Lehigh’s students are no doubt ambitious, courageous and high-achieving. You can see this in LinkedIn posts and news articles on Lehigh News. Behind the ambition is a huge community of cheerleaders, best friends and study buddies all supporting one another. Lehigh students go far not because of their strengths, but because of the collective strengths and support of one another. Hawks may fly alone, but Mountain Hawks fly together at Lehigh University.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Lehigh?

A: In the words of Chadwick Boseman, "Throughout ancient times, institutions of learning have been built on hills to convey the great struggle required to attain the degree of enlightenment, the degree of hope." Lehigh has so graciously preserved its ancient history with its landscape. He continues, "When completing a long climb, one first experiences dizziness, disorientation, and shortness of breath due to the high altitude, but once you become accustomed to the climb, your mind opens up to the tranquility of the triumph." As I go to class every day, the steps and steep terrain of Lehigh remind me exactly of these very words.

Q: Where is your favorite study spot or place to relax on campus?

A: The Lehigh Ventures Lab
