Lehigh’s undergraduate major in biochemistry teaches students the branch of science concerned with the chemical and physicochemical processes that occur within living organisms. It is an interdepartmental program managed by a committee of biochemists, bioorganic chemists and molecular/cellular biologists.
Lehigh’s biochemistry alumni work in clinical biochemistry or as analytical chemists, biomedical scientists, healthcare scientists, clinical research associates, forensic scientists, physician associates, research scientists and scientific laboratory technicians.
