One of the oldest university libraries in the nation, Linderman Library houses more than 400,000 volumes in the humanities. The Bayer Galleria of Rare Books houses the library's 24,000 volume Special Collections division.

Driving Directions

Walking directions from Alumni Memorial Building Parking Pavilion (Linderman Library is located in the center of campus and can’t be accessed by car.)

  • Upon exiting the Alumni Memorial Building, you will see a grass courtyard and a flagpole.
  • Slightly uphill from the flagpole, there is a convenient walkway across campus that runs in front of the University Center.
  • Linderman Library is the stone building located at the end of the walkway.

Parking Information

The visitor entrance to the Alumni Memorial Building Arrival Court and Parking Pavilion is located on the left at the intersection of Summit Street and Brodhead Avenue and is accessed using the left-turn lane. Enter the Parking Pavilion by bearing to the right as soon as you enter the Arrival Court. A handicapped-accessible entrance is available using the ramped walkway to the left of the exterior stone stair.

Please remember that a current Lehigh Parking Permit is required at all times when parked on any Lehigh property. Special visitor parking is available. For more information, please visit Parking Services.
