Educational Partnerships
Lehigh partners with the local community to create meaningful educational opportunities, enriching the lives of children and families in South Bethlehem and reflecting the university’s commitment to learning, collaboration and lasting impact.
Led by our Community Service Office (CSO), Lehigh’s initiative serves all three public schools in South Bethlehem: Donegan Elementary, Fountain Hill Elementary, and Broughal Middle Schools. The CSO works with Lehigh partners and community partners to enact creative new ways to support our schools and benefit our larger community.
The Centennial School at Lehigh University serves students ages six to 22 from local school districts and their families. The School’s two-fold mission is to educate students with challenging behaviors and prepare high-quality special education teachers.
Academic outreach strengthens Lehigh’s regional impact by expanding access to STEM, entrepreneurship, and college-level learning for local K–12 students. Through mentorship and hands-on experiences, they help inspire the next generation of learners across the Lehigh Valley.
Arts Partnerships
At Lehigh University, the arts are a catalyst for connection, creativity, and community engagement. Through collaborative initiatives that span performance, visual arts, cultural heritage, and public festivals, Lehigh integrates the arts into academic life and civic partnerships. Whether through Zoellner Arts Center’s interdisciplinary programming, the University Art Galleries’ educational outreach, the Library’s rich special collections, or Lehigh’s presence at Musikfest, the university is advancing the arts as a powerful force for learning, dialogue, and regional impact.
Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG)
LUAG’s collections and events invite visitors to explore, reflect and connect with art—and with one another. From Lehigh students, faculty and alumni to local artists, K-12 classrooms and the community at large, LUAG is an invaluable cultural resource that is available to all.
Zoellner Arts: Advancing Art Education
The Zoellner Arts Center is a cornerstone of our community, bringing world-class performances, arts education and exciting events to Lehigh and beyond. Since 1997, it has inspired thousands, creating a space where creativity and connection thrive.
Special Collections for the Community
Lehigh’s Special Collections welcomes the community to explore rare books, archives and local history. Through public access, events, exhibits and research support, it connects people of all ages with rich resources and learning opportunities.
Lehigh at Musikfest: Innovation & Arts
Musikfest, one of the nation’s largest free outdoor music festivals, draws over 1 million visitors. Lehigh joins the celebration with live performances, interactive exhibits, and creative events that showcase innovation and strengthen community ties.
Athletic Partnerships
Lehigh Athletics engages the community year-round—hosting camps, clinics, and tournaments for all ages, opening top facilities to local teams, and offering exciting collegiate games that draw fans and families together to celebrate sport and school spirit.
