Dear Students,
If you are taking on-campus Vault Health COVID-19 tests this week, please remember to:
-
bring your Lehigh Identification Number (LIN) with you (view instructions for finding your LIN number)
-
use your Lehigh email when registering at the tent (this will help us with processing)
-
follow all guidelines and instructions for preparing for your test, including wearing a face covering, bringing a smartphone or device with you, practicing social distancing while waiting for your appointment, and not eating, drinking or smoking 30 minutes before the test (note: it’s important to be hydrated to produce enough saliva for the test, so be sure to hydrate before you fast)
If you are currently quarantining for any reason, please do not come to campus to take your test. If needed, you can email helpdesk@lehigh.edu to reschedule or cancel an appointment after your quarantine is completed.
Wednesday, August 26, Deadline
For those who are required to be tested (read who is required here) and cannot make the dates provided to complete one or two tests, please remember to follow the instructions provided here and to let us know by Wednesday, August 26, that you require alternative testing arrangements.
If you do not inform us of your need for alternative testing options by this date, you will be responsible for obtaining and paying for your required tests from Vault Health ($150 for one test, $300 for two).
If you fall into the category of students who are required to get tested, you must take both Vault Health tests, even if you have been in Bethlehem and already have campus access. Graduate students doing research, teaching, or working in an office on campus; those registered for thesis credits or for maintenance of candidacy; and those living in graduate dorms or Saucon Village are NOT required to take the tests unless they are taking in-person classes.
Inclement Weather
We are expecting thunderstorms this afternoon between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. We will stop testing temporarily if there are heavy rains and lightning. If you are at the tents during this time, you should avoid gathering indoors and return to your residence halls until the storm has passed. We will resume testing once it is safe to do so, up until 6:00 p.m. If you miss your appointment today because of inclement weather and are unable to return to the tent for your test, please return tomorrow (Tuesday, August 25) during the scheduled testing time (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and we will accommodate you.
