2.26.21: Thank you to Students

A message sent to students from Nathan Urban and Ricardo Hall.

Dear Students,

The recent significant decline in the COVID-19 student positivity rate reflects important changes you have made over the past two weeks. We want to take this moment to affirm your efforts and thank you for your patience and your willingness to do the things that we know contain the spread of COVID.

This decline is great news and an important step in our efforts to provide more opportunities for in-person learning and student life. It also represents great progress in the creation of a safe environment for the Lehigh and greater Bethlehem communities.

We know that many of you have been doing the right things, and this improvement is a testament to your hard work. It shows us that we can do what needs to be done to prevent and reverse outbreaks of COVID in our community.

Because of this decline in positivity rate and in the numbers of cases, the CRT has moved to ease restrictions on campus activities. We hope that the low positivity rate and case count will persist, and that we will be able to maintain and even extend the opportunities for in-person, face-to-face activities within the limits imposed by safety. Thanks for your partnership and for caring about each other. Keep up the good work!

Best,

Nathan and Ric
