Soaring Together Scholarship Program

Celebrating 50 years of Lehigh women and coeducation at Lehigh with full-tuition merit scholarships.

Lehigh’s Soaring Together Scholarship Program provides full-tuition merit scholarships—along with experiential learning opportunities, alumni support and career and professional development—in celebration of 50 years of Lehigh women and coeducation at Lehigh. The goal of the program is to provide recipients with an unprecedented level of support while advancing gender equity, and we anticipate 50 Soaring Together Scholars across all class years.

These scholarships will be awarded to a select number of incoming Lehigh students each year who excel academically, and demonstrate their interest and commitment to advancing gender equity. First-year applicants to Lehigh are eligible to apply for the scholarship, beginning with those entering Fall 2024.

Applying

Any first-year applicant, beginning with applicants to the Class of 2028, are welcome to apply. The application for this scholarship will go live in October 2024 and the deadline to apply is February 1, 2025. Recipients of this scholarship, including those who apply Early Decision, will be notified in late March alongside the release of admissions decisions for Regular Decision applicants to Lehigh.

To be considered, share with us your thoughts and actions regarding gender equity, in the format of your choosing.

You might tell us what gender equity means to you and what you would like to see Lehigh University do next to advance gender equity. You might imagine a gender equitable world—what's one thing you see in that world and what have you done to get us there? Feel free to approach the issue of gender equity in a different way, perhaps one that is personal or meaningful to you.

Your response to this prompt can be a written essay of 500 words or fewer, a video response of less than 5 minutes, a series of slides or other style of presentation, a social media account or other personal website, or something else which you feel demonstrates your answer.

All submissions must be sent using the Soaring Together Scholarship Program Application.
