Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science What are your research interests?Large Language Model, Cyber Security, Hardware Security, Formal MethodsWhat classes are you teaching at Lehigh?TBDWhat degrees do you hold and where did you earn them?Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering (University of London); Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering (University of London); Master of Science, Electronic Engineering (Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (University of Florida)What was your previous institution?Kansas State UniversityWhat do you enjoy most about teaching?I most enjoy helping students turn abstract engineering concepts into hands-on systems they can build, test, and understand. I enjoy seeing students gain confidence through labs, projects, and real-world challenges, such as Generative AI applications, CPU design, microcontrollers, and hardware security exercises. I also value the opportunity to bring my research into the classroom and mentor students as they become more curious, independent, and capable engineers. Why did you choose Lehigh?I chose Lehigh because it offers a strong fit for both my research vision and my long-term career development. My research is highly interdisciplinary, combining generative AI, cybersecurity, trustworthy AI, hardware security, and formal verification, with applications in areas such as semiconductor systems, bioinformatics, edge AI, and smart infrastructure. Lehigh’s ECE Department and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering & Applied Science strongly value interdisciplinary research, which aligns very well with the direction I am pursuing.I am also excited about Lehigh’s location. Being in the Northeast gives me better access to federal funding agencies, industry partners, and major research hubs, which will help me expand collaborations and grow my externally funded research program. In addition, Lehigh’s location is personally meaningful to me because it brings my family closer to my sister’s family in the Washington, D.C. area. Overall, Lehigh provides the right academic environment, geographic advantages, and family fit for the next stage of my career.
