What are your research interests?

Our group will use vapor phase processing to create hybrid inorganic / polymer materials for the dynamic control of light. From materials that heat and cool simply by interacting with light to the sustainable dyeing and finishing of textiles, we aim to explore novel processes for creating materials that control light through both their structure and chemistry.

What classes are you teaching at Lehigh?

MAT 033 - Engineering Materials and Processes; MAT 204 - Processing and Properties of Polymeric Materials

What degrees do you hold and where did you earn them?

Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering (North Carolina State); Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering (Georgia Tech)

What was your previous institution?

University of Minnesota

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

I love helping students explore their interests and connect concepts to their chosen careers. I enjoy watching students learn and grow in confidence and abilities over the course of their undergraduate career.

Why did you choose Lehigh?

I felt a strong sense of community among students, faculty, and staff. In every conversation, I heard how much people cared for the success of each other and the community. Since my arrival, I have been so happy to realize that this was more than just words and in fact is the reality of the University.
