What are your research interests?

As a Ph.D. student, my research focused on the mechanics of curved surgical needles, specifically understanding the interaction between curved needles and soft tissue. After graduating, my research interests shifted toward engineering education, specifically student engagement and motivation, and how AI tools are shaping the way students learn and how we teach.

What classes are you teaching at Lehigh?

MECH003 (Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanics) and ME010 (Graphics for Engineering Design)

What degrees do you hold and where did you earn them?

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Drexel University); Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Drexel University); Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Temple University)

What was your previous institution?

Temple University

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

I love seeing students grow! Watching them go from confusion to confidence is incredibly rewarding. There's nothing quite like the moment a student truly understands WHY they're learning something and how it connects to real engineering.

Why did you choose Lehigh?

I could feel that everyone in the department genuinely cares about teaching and is passionate about student learning. I felt an immediate sense of belonging, like this is a place where I can learn from incredible colleagues, collaborate on meaningful work, and grow my career as an educator. Lehigh felt like home!
