President John D. Simon ’19P announced the formation of a search committee to identify the successor of current Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Pat Farrell, who will be stepping down from that role at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year.
In an email to campus, Simon acknowledged that the role is a challenging one, but he is confident that the individuals serving on the committee will be able to identify great candidates.
The international search will be conducted by Education Executives, LLC, a firm that specializes in the search for high-level research university administrators and senior leaders of distinguished scientific organizations and academic medical centers. The firm is led by Ilene H. Nagel, who brings more than 30 years of experience in academics, including a tenured professorship in law and a variety of visiting faculty appointments at Yale Law School, Cambridge University, Columbia University School of Law, and George Washington University’s National Law Center.
The committee will be led by Shalinee Kishore, Iacocca Chair, Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Associate Director of the Institute for Cyber Physical Infrastructure and Energy. The members include:
