A video of the message was posted on Lehigh's Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts on Aug. 22.

Owner of The Goose, Tony Silvoy, Allison Findley '22 and Cameron Wood '22 shared an important message about safety precautions as Lehigh's starts the fall semester.

Below are their full remarks transcribed.

Silvoy: I'm Tony from The Goose, and we are welcoming everybody back. We missed everybody for the last five months. We just appreciated everybody that was in town and that did visit us and we had a good time with them. We remained open throughout the beginning of this pandemic and we look to remain open through the end of the pandemic. So we hope everybody comes down and visits us. We have a lot of sandwiches to offer. We don't want to just stop at one or two, we have a lot of different specialty sandwiches that might catch your eye. If you like something sassy and spicy. We're there for you there. Also, we just want to remind you that since you're back, having a great time, and everybody wants to enjoy everything, we want you to make sure you keep in mind, you keep your mask on, your safe distancing, and constantly wash your hands whenever you get a chance. We want to make this semester a great time. We don't want anything going wrong, where we have to not see you for the rest of the semester, so let's all stay safe, and let's go with this!

Wood: My name is Cameron and I'm a junior in the College of Engineering. I'm excited to see everyone back on campus this fall, but it's up to us to keep our community safe and healthy. So please, remember to wear your mask, social distance and wash your hands.

Findley: Hi, my name is Allison. I'm a Gryphon in Warren Square and we should all remember to do our daily self-assessment and wash our hands so we can all keep going to our favorite SouthSide restaurants.
