Dear Colleagues:
As of this week, Lehigh has entered its Open IV phase. By now, supervisors, department chairs and/or Deans should have completed and submitted a safety management plan for their area of the university. These plans should include any necessary physical modifications to work spaces as well as staffing strategies to ensure good service while maintaining social distancing and reduced density.
In preparation for the arrival of our first-year and other students, any faculty, staff and graduate students who want or need to return to campus to perform professional duties may now do so as long as they abide by the required process and safety practices. Faculty, staff and graduate students planning to return to campus must:
-
Notify their supervisor/department chair/PI first
-
Complete the COVID-19 Return to Work safety training
-
Complete the COVID-19 self-assessment on the HawkWatch app prior to coming to campus each day
-
Comply with all health and safety policies including wearing face coverings, practicing social distancing of at least six feet, washing hands, and wiping surfaces
The Task Force has now published its workplace-related guidance and policies for faculty, staff and graduate students on the Human Resources website. We welcome you to review this detailed information. If you have any questions, please contact the Task Force at inreopen@lehigh.edu or Human Resources at inhro@lehigh.edu.
