Dear Lehigh Students and Families,
With the Spring 2020 semester now behind us, preparations for Fall 2021 are well underway. As you are already aware, all undergraduate and graduate students are required to submit verification of vaccination for COVID as part of their required immunizations for the 2021-2022 academic year. We are writing to share the following deadlines so you have adequate time to prepare.
For incoming students, the COVID vaccination requirement is in addition to other requirements, such as submitting complete immunization records. Be sure to follow any instructions you receive regarding academic, health and other requirements and deadlines that may apply to you.
So far, more than 1,660 students have provided the Lehigh University Health and Wellness Center (HWC) with documentation of their vaccination status. Thank you! We are pleased to see so many students already protecting themselves and their communities from COVID.
Students taking summer courses, living in Lehigh housing, or participating in some summer programs have already submitted or are required to submit verification of vaccination sooner and/or prior to program participation.
Prior to the start of the Fall 2021 Semester:

All undergraduate and graduate students are required to submit verification of full COVID vaccination to the HWC no later than Wednesday, August 4. You must complete your final dose of an approved COVID vaccine at least 14 days prior to your planned return to campus. Any vaccine approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or under the WHO - Emergency Use Listing will satisfy this requirement. If you have already submitted verification of full vaccination, there is no further action for you to take.

If you have been vaccinated, upload a copy of your COVID vaccination card on the Lehigh Health and Wellness Center (HWC) health portal, including documentation of your full name, name of vaccine received, and the administration date for both doses. We encourage you to upload this information now and to not wait until the deadline.

If you are requesting a medical or religious exemption from the student COVID vaccine requirement, follow the directions on the HWC website. This must be completed no later than Wednesday, August 4.

Students arriving internationally should follow the instructions and use the resources provided by the Office of International Students and Scholars.

Students with individual questions about their vaccination status or personal situation should send the Health and Wellness Center a secure message through the Health Center Portal (now open). This is preferable to email and will help facilitate a prompt response.
