Dear Students,
We are writing to share guidance and policies in place for the upcoming Lehigh vs. Lafayette football game on April 3, 2021, and related LeLaf activities. The game is taking place on the Lafayette College campus and outside visitors other than pre-approved, ticketed team member guests are not permitted.
Lehigh students other than players or team member guests will not be permitted to be on Lafayette College's campus. This includes tailgating and gathering on the premises, which will be prohibited and strictly enforced.
If a Lehigh University student violates this expectation they are subject to disciplinary action by Lehigh University and possible criminal action by Lafayette College and Easton Police.
In addition, we also want to be sure to communicate expectations for our campus:
-
All COVID Guidelines and the Student Code of Conduct Policies will be strictly enforced.
-
Tailgating, Mocos and events with alcohol are strictly prohibited and any in-person events/gatherings must be approved by the CEAG using the Health and Safety Guidelines for Student Organizations Spring 2021.
-
We ask that students and student organizations also continue to monitor the Campus Status expectations.
-
As a community, we must continue to Help Stop the Spread of COVID-19. If you are in quarantine or isolation, students must continue to comply with the Isolation and Quarantine Protocol.
As the warmer months are ahead of us and more approved campus activities resume, we are all looking forward to safely connecting with one another in person, especially outdoors. As you know, students were invited to reserve tickets for the last football home game of the season against Bucknell on April 11 and there have been other events and activities scheduled to foster community and connection with appropriate health and safety guidelines in place.
Be on the lookout for information related to opportunities to safely celebrate LeLaf and engage in the traditions virtually. We also encourage community members to monitor the Lehigh Athletics Spring 2021 Football Schedule website for opportunities to watch the rivalry virtually.
Beat Lafayette!
Sincerely,
