Dear Students,
Following the campus message sent last week about the concerning positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, we continue to see a rise in cases. Already at this early point in the semester, we are nearing a crossroads and are at risk of not being able to proceed as planned this semester if the number of positive cases continues to rise. During the coldest months of the spring semester, containing the virus is critical to our ability to continue with existing in-person activities and to open up more as the spring progresses. We must act now.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 12:15 p.m., members of the Lehigh University COVID-19 Response Team (CRT) will host a live discussion for students followed by a Q&A.
Among the topics we will discuss: What does the current number of COVID-19 cases mean for students living on and off campus? Will more restrictions be implemented to mitigate the spread of the virus? What actions can we take as individuals and as a community to alter course and make the semester successful?
We strongly encourage all undergraduate and graduate students to attend this session and play an active role in changing the trajectory of this semester.
Register here to receive the Zoom link. The session will be recorded and shared after the event if you are unable to join live. Submit your questions ahead of time via this form by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Joining the conversation will be:
Nathan Urban, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Ricardo Hall, Vice President for Student Affairs
David Rubenstein, Executive Director, Health and Wellness Center
Sarah Stevens, Medical Director, Health & Wellness Center
Hosted by Chris Halladay, Associate Vice President, Human Resources
Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2021
