We hope you are enjoying your winter break. As we anticipate the return of our students for the spring 2023 semester, we wanted to provide important information related to the Dining Services plans for the coming semester.
As you may be aware, the Clayton University Center is now officially closed for renovations. While the Clayton UC is closed, the dining program will provide more retail options, offering students enhanced “on-the-go” options that complement our all-you-care-to-eat student restaurant experience. We maintain our commitment to continuous service that offers a wide array of healthy and nutritious food options in a variety of locations. In conjunction with our dining program enhancements implemented in the fall, which included adding new retail meal deals, increasing meal credit amounts, and expanding hours in the student restaurant, we look forward to introducing the following this spring:
-
A fully renovated Hawk’s Nest will feature a reimagined food court with a variety of options with kiosk ordering and cashless payment. Hawk’s Nest will now include the following retail locations: Chick-N-Bap, Mein Bowl, Tres Habaneros, and Good Batter. Additional information about the offerings from these locations may be found here.
-
Lucy's Cafe in Linderman Library will reopen in February 2023 with an expanded footprint and more food offerings.
-
Hours of operation will be expanded in Rathbone and Brodhead Dining Halls, Common Grounds, and Hawk’s Nest.
-
New technology at Rathbone will allow students to gauge how busy the student restaurant is in real time online, and our new "Rathbone Express" line will expedite wait times for students on the go. Students will be able to enter the Express line, get their ecoContainer, grab their food and go.
-
A new fresh food vending operation (similar to Hillside Cafe in Hitch House) has been installed at Iacocca Hall; a Yo Kai hot noodle bowl vending machine is coming soon.
-
As a reminder, members of the Lehigh University community can take advantage of using Grubhub to place on-campus orders for pick up and delivery. As an added bonus, there are zero user fees for placing on-campus orders!
-
Finally, we are introducing a new on-campus food truck, "The Talon!" Its menu will be a diverse mix of comfort foods including unique breakfast bowls served all day, house-made chicken tenders, a signature burger, sides and more! All three food trucks will accept meal swipes in addition to other payment types.
