10.2.20: Important Announcement from Dining Services

A message sent to students with dining plans.

In order to support Lehigh’s ongoing measures to keep the campus community safe, beginning with breakfast on Monday, October 5, Dining Services will implement a new process for student meals switching from eating in to all “take out” from the student dining halls (Rathbone, Cort @ Lower UC, and Brodhead). Students will still swipe into the dining hall, but instead of food being served on dishware, it will be placed into take out containers. No seating will be available within the dining halls so students are expected to eat in their residence halls or at outside locations where physical distancing is more prevalent.

All menu options and serving stations/platforms will remain open and offer the same variety, quality, and nutritious food. We will also continue to offer vegan, vegetarian selections along with our “Simple Servings” station addressing special dietary needs , i.e., gluten and food allergies. Students are encouraged to look at all menu options and visit Simply Servings first to prevent cross-contamination of food allergens.

All retail operations will remain open across campus as well as the food trucks that are located near the STEPS building. All hours of operation of the dining halls will also remain the same.

Please remember to help keep Lehigh safe.....clean your hands, monitor your health, practice social distancing, and wear a face covering.
