Welcome to Lehigh University's Diversity Life Weekend, taking place Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2, 2023!

We want you to be a part of the Lehigh family and hope that you will continue to explore the wealth of opportunities available to you here before you make a final decision. At D-Life, you will:

  • Connect with current Lehigh students, as well as other admitted students at social events
  • Engage with our Student Advocacy Centers
  • Explore academic opportunities while at Lehigh Fest

    • Official check-in for Diversity Life Weekend begins at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023.
    • Diversity Life Weekend will officially end at 12:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
  • Students must follow the agenda as planned for them while participating in D-Life.

Featured Guest Speaker: Melony E. Castro '04

Melony Castro specializes in the financial services industry with an emphasis on tax planning and compliance for investment partnerships, investment advisers, hedge funds and their investors, investment partnership management companies, and general partner entities. She also serves various clients in the alternative investment industry ranging from emerging manager funds to some of the largest investment funds in the country.

Castro began her career in the financial services industry as a tax manager, building partnerships with advisors and clients. In 2014 she joined Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG), one of the world's leading professional services firms, as a tax manager and has since been promoted to Managing Director.

Castro has a BS in accounting from Lehigh University and is also part of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. She was raised in Washington Heights, New York and now resides in New Jersey with her husband, Giovanni Castro '02, who is an established real estate developer and Lehigh University alum. Castro enjoys spending time with her three amazing children, Leyla who plays basketball and studies at the Stevens Institute of Technology, Giovanni a senior at Rutgers Prep and Eva who is in 8th grade and loves to play soccer.
