What do you enjoy most about teaching?

Seeing all the lightbulbs go off in a huge classroom when teaching students something that they can immediately connect to their everyday lives!

Why did you choose Lehigh?

I chose Lehigh for several reasons. First, it was the only institution I interviewed at that was specifically looking for someone to (1) regularly teach Introduction to Psychology (my favorite course to teach!) and (2) be a fully-fledged faculty member with opportunities for student advising and other departmental and university-wide service roles. Second, I loved the campus (and the people!) when I visited for my interview. And, third, the location is ideal for me—I grew up in Pennsylvania, and I'm so glad I get to return to my home state to start my career (it's great being so close to family/friends again)!

What was your previous institution?

I was at two institutions simultaneously: over the past four years, I was teaching both at SUNY Albany (where I also was completing my Ph.D.) and at Skidmore College.
