The gift of wisdom
In fact, out of our 40,000 undergraduate alumni, more than half are affiliated with a fraternity or sorority. Simply stated, this subject matter is important to many and in every case, it is near and dear to the hearts of our Greek alumni.
Equally vital to a vibrant campus life and to student development are the many other clubs, organizations, and activities that happen on a daily basis. From athletics to community service, professional associations to honor societies, the entire student life environment, combined with outstanding academics, work together to retain Lehigh’s position as one of the premier universities in the United States.
Your history with both the university and some of these organizations forms a unique connection—or affinity—with Lehigh that can make the bond to your alma mater even stronger. Sure, the young and energetic keep the student groups hopping at the campus level, but your hard earned experience from yesterday is a powerful contribution waiting to be made.
Alumni of all ages can reach back to Lehigh’s campus organizations and contribute something that neither money nor youthful energy can obtain—wisdom. Your involvement as an alumni advisor can make a significant difference. At the very least, you’ll get an up-close look at what Lehigh campus life is about today and you might even have some fun!
If you were involved on campus as a student, check out the Lehigh Web site for contact information and get reconnected. It’s never too late to make campus life at Lehigh a part of your Lehigh experience. And the depth of your experience and wisdom may just be what the group needs to refocus or maintain their current path of excellence.
