Star exhibit earns recognition for two grad students

College of Education Educational Technology graduates Jillian Hughes ’04 and David Goldfeder ’04 received the 2004 Nova Southeastern Award for Outstanding Practice by a Graduate Student in Instructional Design from the Association of Educational Communications and Technology (AECT).
The award is given to a graduate student who has designed exemplary instructional materials. Hughes and Goldfeder, Instructional Design and Development program graduate students, developed a NASA-funded interactive, multimedia science museum exhibit titled “Life of a Star.”
AECT is a professional association of thousands of educators and others who are actively involved in the designing of instruction and a systematic approach to learning. The association is the national and international advocate for the improvement of instruction and is the world’s largest publisher of information concerning a wide range of instructional technology.
