Bethlehem Not Playing Games with its Recreation Agenda
Jean Farrington, wife of Lehigh University president Gregory Farrington, was mentioned in an article about Southside Vision 2012. The Community Action Development Corporation (CADC) administers the Southside Vision 2012 rollout, along with a steering committee co-chaired by Mayor John Callahan and Jean Farrington. Mayor Callahan on Monday joined neighborhood advocates at the CADC office on Fifth Street to announce plans for hiring a part-time recreation coordinator for the neighborhoods of South Side. The coordinator will help develop recreation for South Side teenagers and also help get youngsters involved in programs that already exist, Callahan said. The new coordinator will work off results of a survey developed by CADC.
