College’s Open House to be at Career Center

Lehigh University's Office of Distance Education will have an open house at Franklin County Career and Technology Center, Chambersburg, for prospective graduate students. Representatives from the university will be on hand at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 to discuss master's degree programs in business, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, molecular biology, quality engineering, pharmaceutical chemistry and polymer science and engineering. A certificate program in supply chain management is also available. The courses can be taken for credit toward a degree or on a non-credit basis, and are transmitted live to career center classrooms from Lehigh's campus. Day and evening classes are available.

David Anastasio, associate professor of earth and environmental science at Lehigh University, will hold an Earth and Planetary Sciences seminar at John Hopkins University. The seminar Extra-Basinal Fluid Infiltration Mass Transfer and Volume Strain during Mountain Building: Insights from the Idaho-Montana Thrust Belt, will be held on Monday, October 11 at 4:00 p.m.

Trinidad & Tobago Express (Trinidad and Tobago)
USA Basketball Team Coming

Lehigh University will create local basketball history when the Mountain Hawks’ basketball team touches down at Piarco Airport at noon on Thursday. The men’s college basketball team will become the first Division One basketball team from the United States to tour Trinidad and Tobago. “This is historical for basketball in T&T because never in the history of local basketball a Division One team from America ever came to play here, and I am very excited about the Lehigh basketball team coming here” said Clayton Blackman, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Basketball Federation.
