And Speaking of Lunch...
Research by Karen Evans Stout, associate professor of educational leadership at Lehigh, was picked up by NEA Today, the official publication of the National Education Association. A study out of Lehigh University shows the time children now have to eat is rapidly declining--it's now on average 15 minutes, less time than people in prisons get for their meals, the article said. The fix: Stout suggests giving American kids at least 25 minutes to eat. That way they get 'a community experience--one in which they learn from the positive interaction with their peers.' Ciasulli Gets His First College Win on 2nd Try
Freshman redshirt Matt Ciasulli bounced back from an opening-night loss to record a first-period fall over Pittsburgh's Adam Curry as Lehigh manhandled the Panthers 31-9 before a crowd of 1,813 at Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. I was pumped to get out on the mat again, Ciasulli said. Lehigh, ranked No. 2 nationally by Amateur Wrestling News and third by InterMat Wrestling, won eight of 10 bouts against the overmatched Panthers. We were much more relaxed tonight, Lehigh coach Greg Strobel. The anxiety of opening night was gone and it showed on the mat. We came out with a purpose and that was to get the job done.

His older brother, Brian, played linebacker at Lafayette, graduating in 2001.

Latin American Investment Leads to Life as Bibliophile
David Light, program director of the international trade development program at the Small Business Development Center, was the focus of an article in the EPBJ. A few years ago, Light invested in a Latin American mutual fund. He's still investing, but now he's mainly buying books about Latino history and culture. Everywhere you turn there's a book, Light said, who estimates that his collection now includes a thousand volumes.
