Assistant Lehigh U. Professor Gets Deputy Superintendent Job
C. Russell Mayo, assistant professor of educational leadership at Lehigh, will be Allentown's first deputy superintendent when he starts work in July. He fills the vacancy left by Ray Erb Jr., who retired last year as assistant superintendent. The position was renamed as part of an administrative restructuring. ''Dr. Mayo was chosen because of his credentials, experience and understanding of the challenges facing Allentown's schools,'' superintendent Karen S. Angello said.
