Stephen Cohen, a visiting professor in the international relations department at Lehigh, was a featured guest on the June 23 edition of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight. Cohen spoke on the topic of the ultimatum issued to radical Islamic terrorists by the Saudi Arabian government. The Saudi crown prince gave the al Qaeda terrorists one month to surrender with an offer of amnesty for terrorists who turn themselves in.

ASD Search Committee Yields the Best Candidate for the Job

C. Russell Mayo, assistant professor of educational leadership at Lehigh, was recently appointed deputy superintendent for the Allentown School District. Although this is the first time Mayo will be an employee of ASD, it isn't the first time he's helped shape the district's future. Mayo conducted a comprehensive needs assessment of the district more than a year ago with a colleague. Dr. Mayo has considerable urban school experience and has current knowledge of the best practices in educating our students, district superintendent Karen S. Angello said. He also has the requisite skills to supervise human resources, professional development, technology, research, planning and accountability, the four areas of the district that will be his responsibility.
