On campus

Lehigh's Global Village was mentioned in an article on two Global Village 2003 participants, Kelly Keohane and Mary Vercimak. Keohane is a nominee for the USA Today 2004 All-USA College Academic Team honoring 60 undergraduates as representatives of all outstanding students at the nation's colleges and universities. One of the many leadership roles for Keohane came this past summer when she and fellow University of Mary student Morgan Vercimak were two of only five Americans selected to represent the United States at Lehigh University's Iacocca Institute 2003 Global Village. This six-week program for emerging leaders placed her on a project to create, plan and execute a memorable experience for seriously ill clients at the Camelot House, the article said.

Sokoloski: Lehigh Women Regrouped to Charge into First Place

The rest of the Patriot League now knows the Mountain Hawks. They are the team at the top of the league standings after coming all the way back from a stressful 1-8 start in their non-conference schedule to roll up a 5-0 record in the Patriot League. I think the two most talented teams, taking us out of the mix, are Holy Cross and Colgate, Lehigh coach Sue Troyan said. We'll have a better sense of where we really fit in the whole picture after this weekend. It's big.
