Comments made by Ricardo Viera concerning the recent controversy surrounding a satirical exhibit displayed in Lehigh's Maginnes Hall were picked up by additional media outlets across the country for a current total of 56 hits. The exhibit is The Forbidden Pictures, a Political Tableau by internationally renowned photographer Larry Fink. Viera, professor and curator of Lehigh art galleries, says he makes no apologies for the display because it is meant to promote discussion. Universities are a forum for diverse ideas and intellectual challenges, he said. A few Lehigh students were also quoted.
