Lehigh Football Chosen among League’s Elite Teams for 2004

League powers Lehigh and Colgate both found themselves ranked in all six major Division I-AA preseason polls -- an honor Patriot League directors were quick to cite Tuesday during the league's annual Media Day luncheon at Green Pond Country Club. From a program standpoint and from the standpoint of visibility for the university, we're very pleased, Lehigh coach Pete Lembo said. At the same time, preseason polls don't win games for you. Lehigh is ranked as high as seventh in the nation in the Dopke.com poll, which ranks Colgate No. 10 to stand as the only preseason prediction to list Lehigh ahead of Colgate.
