The album Invitation, by the Sam Ruttenberg Trio, which features music by Bob DeVos, instructor in the music department at Lehigh, was reviewed in the Philadelphia Inquirer. The title track is a smoky affair with guitarist DeVos, a veteran of many organ jazz combos and an instructor at Lehigh University, picking his way with a sure hand, the article said.

College Friends Make Most of Intercultural Spring Break
Even though they grew up in two vastly different places, 20-year-old Lehigh students Kate LaBalbo from Bethel, Connecticut and Pelin Seyhan from Instanbul, Turkey, found they have much in common. They met at Lehigh at a sorority mixer last fall. When Seyhan couldn't travel home to Turkey, she decided to spend the week with LoBalbo's family in Bethel. The Americans are very friendly, Seyhan said.
