U.S. Firm on Iraq Handoff

Henri Barkey, chair of the international relations department at Lehigh, was quoted in an article about the Iraqis adopting foreign policies. The Iraqis will probably adopt some foreign policies Washington won't be happy with. But many experts, like Barkey, predict that on major issues, the United States will get what it wants, so there is little point in delaying the formal transfer of authority. Barkey, also a former State Department official, said, “The reality is that most power will be transferred to the U.S. ambassador.”

South Side Kids Paint Easter Eggs at Lehigh’s Spring Fling

A photograph of Lehigh’s Spring Fling was featured on the front page of the Express Times. Spring Fling, organized and run by Lehigh students, helps to bring together the Lehigh community with an activity fair for the children of the South Side. Children enjoy a fun day creating crafts and art projects, as well as getting a visit from the Easter Bunny.
