RCEAS appoints new marketing director
Chris Larkin, the manager of media and press relations for Unisys Corp. in Malvern, Pa., has been appointed director of communications and marketing for the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, effective July 19.
Larkin's appointment was announced by S. David Wu, dean of the college.
Chris has an impressive background in marketing and communications, said Wu. His professional achievements made him the clear choice among an outstanding group of candidates.
Larkin succeeds Cheryl Harris, who left Lehigh in 2004 to become an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina.
As director of RCEAS communications and marketing, Larkin will work with the office of university communications to oversee RCEAS media relations and external communications. He will develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to increase the college's national and international visibility.
In his most recent position with Unisys, Larkin coordinated media relations and external communications. Previously, he was manager of industry analyst relations at Unisys and coordinated relationships and communications between Unisys marketing personnel and business executives and industry analysts.
Larkin earned an M.B.A. from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business with specializations in marketing and MIS. He holds bachelor's degrees in English and history from Penn State University.
