Project management program off and running

Faculty and staff from Lehigh’s College of Education and College of Business and Economics worked together to develop the post-baccalaureate certificate program, which has been underway since January.
Lehigh University has been pursuing a collaborative approach to new program development for the last few years and this certificate program is an excellent example. It is unusual to have business faculty and education faculty working together and shows a high level of innovation. In the online world of today, it would be hard to imagine any new program, especially at the graduate level, without courses in teaching and learning with technology,“ says Sally A White, dean and professor, College of Education.
The new Project Management Certificate program is designed for individuals with education or professional experience in a variety of industries or disciplines—including engineering, health care, information technology, business, instructional design and development—who anticipate assuming or already hold responsibilities for managing a project.
The program is developed in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, designed to prepare students for PMI certification and is taught by PMI certified instructors. The 12-credit program can be completed in less than one year, using a unique blend of online workshops, self-paced sessions and on-campus learning.
