Poets&Quants recognizes three Lehigh students who stood out in the nation’s Class of 2019.
Jeffrey Shanfeldt ’19
Investment banking analyst, Citigroup

Shanfeldt (finance/accounting, anthropology) externed with Chatham Asset Management and interned with Citigroup as an investment banking summer analyst. As a catcher on Lehigh’s baseball team, he was named Second Team All-Patriot League and was an Academic All-Patriot League selection. He also was involved with campus groups, including Council of Student Presidents, and was a TRAC Fellow writing tutor/mentor.

Shagrin (finance, journalism) graduated with Highest Honors. She landed internships as an equity capital markets summer analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York, a reporter for NoCamels.com in Tel Aviv, Israel and a summer investment analyst in the Lehigh Investment Office in New York. On campus, Shagrin was involved in activities and leadership roles that included Challah for Hunger and Best Buddies.

Shouldice, who finished her MBA while living in London, says she chose Lehigh’s MBA program because of its strong reputation and national ranking. She says she learned from fellow classmates through discussion of their real-world industry experiences, and she applied what she learned to her current job and career aspirations. While completing her MBA, Shouldice was promoted to a management acceleration program and moved from an engineering role to a business rotation program.
