There also will be a “not-quite-brown-bag” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in University Center Room 303 to discuss the topic of “White Privilege and Christian Privilege.”
All events are free and open to the public.
“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to the noblest aspirations of the human spirit: equality, freedom, justice, and peace,” says Gregory Farrington, Lehigh president. “I encourage all members of the Lehigh family to find a meaningful and personal way to join in our nation’s celebration of Dr. King’s legacy.”

Her work in film and television has appeared in such notable publications as The New York Times Magazine, The Washington Post , USA Weekend and Vibe magazine. She is currently a contributing writer for Essence magazine and an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University.
“Lehigh works every day to create a more diverse and multicultural learning and living environment for our students,” says Stephan Coggs, assistant dean of multicultural affairs. “Bringing in speakers like Dr. Zook helps us to achieve our goals while honoring the legacy of an important man like Martin Luther King, Jr.”
