Lehigh musicians take Zoellner stage
Paul Salerni and the Lehigh University Very Modern Ensemble (LUVME) will pay tribute to the 85th anniversary of composer Earl Kim’s birth at 8 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 29 in Zoellner Arts Center’s Baker Hall.
Directed by Salerni and featuring music by Kim and Lehigh composers who studied with Kim, the show will include works by Lehigh alumnus and New England Conservatory professor John Heiss, as well as Salerni and recent Lehigh graduates.
Other Lehigh alumni featured include Tae Sakamoto and Michael D’Ambrosio, who composed a piece for Wind Ensemble. Tickets are $15 for general admission. For more information, contact Paul Salerni at 8-3834 or via email.
In addition, assistant professor of music Bill Warfield will lead Jazz Faculty at 3 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 30 in Baker Hall. General admission tickets are $12.
