Lehigh is on the CASE
Lehigh University was recognized for its outstanding work in six areas, including alumni programming, advertising, media relations, fundraising, photography, and recruitment materials. A number of individuals from across the university accepted at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II annual conference awards gala in Philadelphia in early February.
CASE is the organization for advancement professionals who work in alumni relations, communications, and development. CASE's membership includes more than 3,000 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and 42 other countries. CASE District II includes New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Maryland, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Ontario, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Awards included two golds, three silvers, and an honorable mention.
Gold: Leadership Awards in Educational Fundraising, for the Development Office’s Volunteer Manual and Solicitation Guide, awarded to development-related activities that take innovative approaches, demonstrate outstanding success, and model educational fund-raising practice.
Gold: Student Recruitment Publications—Packages, for the Admissions Matriculation Package, a folder featuring a number of pieces including postcards, campus map, acceptance letter, and more, which is sent to students who have been accepted to Lehigh University.
Silver: Alumni Relations Programming, for the Lehigh University Alumni Association for its Reunion 2003 program.
Silver: Specific Media Relations Programs, for a satellite newsfeed broadcast and print media project called “School Lunch Period Study,” produced by the University Communications Office in cooperation with the College of Education as part of the university’s back-to-school national media stories.
Silver: Individual Photography, awarded to photographer Theo Anderson for his images in the Lehigh Alumni Bulletin.
Honorable Mention: Print Advertising – Special Programs Advertising, awarded to Zoellner Arts Center’s promotional package for Zeek, club for children. Winning entry included Zeek study guide, rack card/signup sheet, membership card, souvenir, sponsorship sign.
