Jugglers The Passing Zone to perform for Dream Come True Benefit
The award-winning juggling duo The Passing Zone will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 as part of a benefit for Dream Come True, an organization that fulfills the dreams of seriously, chronically and terminally ill Lehigh Valley children. This is the first time Zoellner has teamed with another non-profit organization to present a benefit performance.
Together for 17 years, after having met at a juggling convention and instantly realizing they were destined to be a team, jugglers Jon Wee and Owe Morse, dressed in tights, juggle an array of amazing items, including bowling balls, chainsaws and people. They have won five Guinness World Records and 18 gold medals from the International Jugglers Association—more than any other jugglers in the world.
They have appeared on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, LIVE with Regis and Kelly, CBS This Morning and Penn and Teller’s Sin City Spectacular, as well as in the film The Addams Family, doubling for Gomez and Uncle Fester in the Mamoushka dagger-passing scene. They also performed at the Royal Command Performance for Prince Charles, the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, the World Expo in Osaka and the Calgary Stampede.
Combining juggling with humor, Wee and Morse “light up the stage with remarkably complex, club-juggling and a steady stream of genuinely comic banter…” (Los Angeles Times).
In conjunction with the performance, Zoellner will present a free 2 p.m. lobby pre-show by Dream Kids, local students whose area performances raise money for Dream Come True.
As part of its commitment to engaging and helping children, Zoellner Arts Center presents this benefit for Dream Come True. Zoellner also offers a children’s club, ZeeK!, to introduce them to the performing arts, and identifies Guest Artist performances that are specifically geared to children.
Tickets for the May 15 performance are $25 (orchestra/grand tier) and $21 (balcony). For tickets, call 610-758-2787 (7LU-ARTS), visit Zoellner Ticket Services, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and two hours before curtain, or order tickets online. Student discounts are available.
