Doing well while doing good

The FEED Bag

Business leaders Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson will be speaking as part of the IE 382 (Leadership Development) course on March 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Mohler Lab, Room 451.
Bush and Gustafson are behind FEED Projects, an organization dedicated to feeding and educating the world’s hungry children.
Bush, the niece of former President George W. Bush, and Gustafson will discuss leadership challenges and technologies employed in founding FEED Projects, LLC. The organization raised money through sales of its FEED 100 Bag in Whole Foods Markets. This effort helped provide for the Rwandan children participating in the UN's 2008 World Food Program school lunch operation.
Their talk arrives on the heels of a presentation made by Paul Rusesabagina, the inspiration for the film Hotel Rwanda, concerning the country's 1994 genocide.
This event is free and open to the public, however, space is limited. Please RSVP by email to Dr. Emory Zimmers by noon on Wednesday, March 11.
