Commencement 2018: 'On to the Next Chapter'

As graduating students walked to their seats at Goodman Stadium for Lehigh’s 150th commencement on May 21, several of them sent messages from atop their mortarboards: “On to the Next Chapter,” Now it’s My Turn to Teach,”  “Goodbye Everyone.”

Claire Herndon ’18, top left, also had a message for her parents—“thank you Mom & Dad”—for their support throughout her time at Lehigh.

Some of the graduates chose designs that summarized their time at Lehigh. Dan Ritter ’18, left in bottom right photo with Vibhu Shakelli ‘18, had majored in civil engineering and received a degree in Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE). He topped his cap with a 3D design.

Another graduate quoted the fictional TV character Michael Scott from “The Office”: “May your hats fly as high as your dreams.”
