Civil Engineers to Participate in National Seismic Design Contest

Four civil engineering seniors plan to travel to Portland, Oregon, in March to compete in a contest sponsored by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). Christopher Irwin (team captain), Katherine Brody, Sarah Dudney and Alex Keller were invited to take part in EERI’s 2017 Undergraduate Seismic Design Competition after submitting a proposal to design an imaginary building in downtown Portland.
